Obituary for Donnie Lee Cook

Donnie Lee  Cook
Donnie Lee Cook, 76, of Springfield went home to be with our Lord at 8:55pm, January 10, 2018. At the time of his passing he resided at The Maples Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center where he touched the hearts of the staff who cared for him.

Donnie was born in Springfield, MO and raised by his Grandma and Grandpa Boyce. Donnie was a loving dad, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He was a true blessing to all who knew him.

Donnie was preceded in death by his grandparents, Willard S. and Stella D. Boyce, his loving wife of 39 happy years Mary Ann, and his oldest son Terry Lee Cook.

Left to mourn his passing is his brother, Lonnie Eugene Cook of Springfield, MO, four sons Ricky Don Cook of Carthage, MO, Michael Eugene Cook of Louisiana, Eddie Wayne Cook of Licking, MO and Brandon Lee Needham of Springfield, MO; two daughters, Rebecca Collins of Nebraska and Marilyn Renee Hobbs and husband Brian of Springfield, MO. Eleven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and many relatives and friends.

Family will receive friends and relatives on Friday January 19, from 10 – 11 a.m. in the Chapel at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at Rivermonte, 4500 S. Lone Pine, Springfield. A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. with burial at Brighton Cemetery immediately after services. Online condolences may be contributed to this online guestbook.
