Robert Lenville Young
Robert Lenville Young, 75, left this earth to join his wife in heaven on Saturday, June 17, 2017. He was born on Tuesday, August 19, 1941 to Zenia and Wayne Young.
Robert married the love of his life, Stella Liles, in 1963. To this union two daughters were born, Charlene and Barbie. Robert worked for over 50 years at Southwest By-Products in Springfield. Robert always had a big smile for everyone and he loved practical jokes. He and Stella moved from Springfield to their rural Mansfield home shortly before his retirement. Robert lived to make Stella happy. They enjoyed going on long wandering drives looking for wildflowers and their daily trip to town for soda pop. Robert always appreciated everything he had and believed that family and friends were the most important things in life. He was a rock for his daughters and grandkids, always there when they needed him.
Robert was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four brothers, Dwight, Darrell and Donald Young and Brad Johnson, two sisters, Willa Barnum and Carol Henry, parents- in- law Rachel and Fred Liles, brother and sister-in-laws Eddie Liles and Judy Loftis and one great-grandson Bentley Garrison.
Robert is survived by his daughters Charlene Hobbs and Barb Schofield (husband Randy), siblings Raymond Young (wife Karol) and Carlos Young, sisters-in-law Sandy Young and Lynn Young, grandchildren Jennie Weber, Robin Price (husband Aaron), Justin Schofield (wife Jamie), Amber Price (husband Nick), David Green, Megan Swearengin (husband Lars) and Joey Schofield; great-grandchildren Sabrina, Ethan, Clayton, Mason, Cheyenne, Elizabeth, Madeline, Damion, Connor & Blake and many other family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 1-2pm at the Mansfield Christian Church, 857 West Commercial, Mansfield, Missouri 65704, with funeral services to follow and officiated by Pastor Ronnie Roy at 2pm. Interment will take place at the Prairie Hollow Cemetery immediately after services. Serving as Pallbearers are Justin Schofield, Joey Schofield, Aaron Price, Lars Swearengin, Nick Price and Randy Schofield with Raymond Young serving as an honorary Pallbearer.
