Obituary for
Beverly S. Highland
Beverly S. Highland 73, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Monday, June 5, 2017. She was born on March 21, 1944 in Ash Grove, Missouri to Floyd and Beulah Keene.
Beverly was the first graduating class of Hillcrest High School. She married her high school sweetheart and traveled all over as a proud military wife before settling back down in Springfield where she later retired from Bass Pro. She loved her grandbabies, crossword puzzles, her roses and was active in her flower beds while she was able, playing bingo, "front porch sittin", and being surrounded by her family.
Her love of family was unconditional. She was a wonderful mother and Grandmother. All that knew her knows that she could light a room with her quick wit and sass. She was our strength.
She is preceded in death by her father, Floyd Keene; grandmother, Lourie Cameron; Uncle, Harold Cameron; aunts, Goldie Brown and Gladys Stokes; three grandsons, Steven T. Highland, Jonathon L. Benway, and RJ Brewer (Highland).
Survivors include her mother, Beulah Keene; brother, Randy Keene and wife Carolyn Keene; daughters, Denise Franz and husband Charlie Franz, and Donna Benway; grand daughter, Krysta Highland; grandsons, Chris and Zach Benway; aunt, Opal McNeese of Ash Grove; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A visitation will he held on Thursday, June 8, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel (5234 W. State Highway EE Springfield, MO). Graveside services will be held Friday, June 9, 2017 at 11am at Johns Chapel Cemetery (Ash Grove, MO)
