Obituary for Dorothy Cain (Fox)

Dorothy Cain (Fox)
Dorothy Itrous Cain, 91, entered into Heaven Friday, April 7, 2017 after a long battle with a variety of Illnesses. She was born Sunday, August 23, 1925 to Cecil Fox & Lavena Phillips (Gann). Dorothy was an only child to their union and would later have two siblings Stella Gann (Butler) and John Gann to Lavena’s second husband Ted Gann.
She loved her family very much, and even though she did not get to see them as often as she would have liked, she cherished every minute she could spend with them. Until she got to the point that she was bedfast, she enjoyed long drives in the country and in her younger days camping at the lake.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her former husbands, Elvin Sawyer and Clyde Cain in 1997, one sister Stella Gann (Butler) in February 2012 and three children, Charles Allen Sawyer in 1951, Thomas (Tommy) Lee Sawyer in 1960, and Everett Leon Sawyer in August 2016 and his wife Nancy in November 2015 and their son Tommy Ray Sawyer in November 1992.
She is survived by her two sons, Jerry W. Cain (wife Carolyn) of Springfield, MO and Bobby G. Cain (wife Janet) of Rogersville, MO, seven grandchildren Jeff and Ricky Sawyer, Lavena and Wesley Cain, Deborah Walker (Cain), Gina Miller (Cain), and Robin Barclay (Cain), 14 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 from 5-7pm at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802, with funeral services on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at 10am. Online condolences can be made at www.klingnerfuneralhome.com.
