Florence "Flo" Francis (Kastendieck)
Florence Francis, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017 in Atlanta, GA. She was born on Monday, June 2, 1924 in Springfield, MO to George and Irene Kastendieck.
Flo graduated from Springfield High School in 1942 and attended STC. She married Steve Francis, Jr on December 28, 1946 in Springfield. They moved numerous times for Steve’s career, finally settling in Atlanta. Together they traveled around the US and made many trips to Europe. Flo enjoyed doing ceramics, creating needlepoint, playing golf and bridge. Reading was her passion.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother Robert Kastendieck, one sister Dorothy Reynolds and her sister-in-law Patricia Kastendieck.
She is survived by two daughters, Ann Francis of Scottsdale, AZ and Kitty Baker (husband Rick), one granddaughter Aimee Jeter of, one grandson Greg York (Wife Zulai) all of Atlanta, GA, one brother Joe Kastendieck of Springfield, MO, her brother-in-law Roy Reynolds of Dallas, TX, her sister-in-law Betty Kastendieck of Dallas, TX and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, friends and family.
A graveside service will be held at 10am on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home’s Rivermonte Cemetery.
