Dale Boyde Blakey
Dale Boyde Blakey, age 70 was born October 22, 1946 in Springfield, MO to Thurman and Reba (Hilburn) Blakey. Dale passed away on December 22, 2016 in Springfield, MO with his kids by his side. He worked 15 years at Springfield Stock Yards then was self employed until he retired.
Dale married the love of his life Lou Pryor on August 4, 1967. He loved planting flowers especially red roses, playing baseball and bowling. He collected die cast cars and anything Marilyn Monroe. He loved spending time with his family and going to church on Sunday mornings where he was a faithful member of Homeland Baptist Church in Springfield, MO.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Reba Blakey; the love of his life, Lou Blakey; sister, Debbie; brother, Reggie Blakey; and his son-in-law, Wesley Stevens.
He is survived by his son, Mike Blakey and wife Angie; daughters, Diane Miller and husband Brian, and Gale Jones and husband Robert; grandchildren, Susan Blakey, Thurman Blakey, Raymond Blakey, LeeAnne Blakey, Bayley King, Robert Blakey, Holley Stevens, Wesley Stevens, Jr., Mark Jones and Micah Jones; great grandchildren, Jessica Butts, Bentley Austin, LaKendra Blakey, and a great grandson due in January; a very special friend, Barbara Farmer for over 60 years; brother, Levell; sisters, Joyce Hale and Norene Daigle.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior to service at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W. State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO. Burial will take place in Eastlawn Cemetery.
