Obituary for Jesse Devin Herring

Jesse Devin  Herring
Jesse Devin Herring, 21 was born June 29, 1995 in Springfield, MO and sadly departed this life September 28, 2016 at Fort Stewart, GA. He was the oldest son of Shawna Lee Brown and Jeffrey Alan Herring.

Jesse was proudly serving in the United State Army as a combat medic, assigned to A company, 1st battalion, 30th infantry regiment, 2nd infantry brigade combat team at Fort Stewart. He had just returned from deployment from Cameroon, Africa where he was awarded a coin from a 2 star general just before he left at the recommendation of his first line leader.

Jesse was an avid reader and liked playing video games. He loved music and formed a band with his best friend Andy McQueen.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather David Brown.

He has a 2 year old son, Tobias Alexander Herring who lived with his mother Michayla Martin of Neosho, MO. He also leaved behind a brother, Jaden Alan Herring and his father Jeffrey Alan Herring at home and his mother, Shawna Lee Brown of Springfield, MO. Jesse also leaves behind his grandma Kathy Ebright of Springfield, MO; Dave and Cathy Dopler of East Liverpool, Ohio and John and Joyce Herring of Clarksville, Tenn; 2 uncles, John (Jer) Herring of Raleigh, NC and Chris (Dawn) Dopler of Aurora, Ohio; aunt, Stephanie (Rex) Halfhill of East Liverpool, Ohio and several cousins, great aunts and many many friends.

Jesse will be fondly remembered and sincerely missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Services will be held on October 8, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel, 5234 W State Hwy EE (Division), Springfield, MO.
