Obituary for Laurita Dean Saville (Carnahan)

Laurita D. Saville, 84, long time resident of Springfield, MO area, passed away on Sept. 24, 2016. She was born December 12, 1931 in Windsor, Missouri and married to Norman Edward Saville June 3, 1950. She was a devout Seventh Day Adventist for her whole life.

Laurita worked as a Medical Records Specialist for many years and she created the chart auditing system for two local hospitals, before Federal regulatory laws were in place; she was Psychiatric Nurse for the 2nd half of her career; and she was also co-owner/operator of Saville Ornamental Iron, The Hobby Den, Saville CB Center and The 10-4 Center, in Springfield, MO.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh and Modena Carnahan; her husband, Norman E. Saville; brothers Garnett, Franklin and Marvin Carnahan; Sisters~In~Law, Kathy and Becky Carnahan and Lorna (Saville) Duffrin; Brothers-In-Law, Marvin Saville and Don Duffrin.


Laurita is survived by her sister, Idella (Mark) Koch; Sisters-In-Law Caroline (Garnett) Carnahan and Ellen (Marvin) Saville; her children Edward and Marie Saville; 7 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.


Memorial services will be at Rivermonte Funeral Home 5400 S. Lone Pine Ave. Springfield, MO 65804. Sunday, October 2nd; Visitation at 1pm, Celebration of Life Service at 2pm.


Interment will be at Greenlawn North Cemetery Springfield, MO; Oct. 10, 2016 at 11am.
