Obituary for Teri Porter

Teri Porter
Teri Porter, 56, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 28, 2016 at Cox South Hospital and was a cornea donor. She was the only child of Bobby L. and Loyce B. Gregory.

Teri was born in Springfield where she was raised and schooled. She was employed as a grocery store cashier for a few years and attended OTC where she trained as a nurse’s aide. She was then employed as a nurse’s aide and a heart monitor tech at Cox Hospital for 10 years where she met and married Michael Alexander for 15 years until his passing. Teri then retired and remarried Deshon Porter in 2014.

Teri was very encouraging to her family and loved to crochet and crosstitch. In life she enjoyed pets, plants, crafts and singing gospel music. She loved Christmas time with her family and was active on facebook.

Preceding her in death was her first husband, parents, grandparents and cousins.

She leaves behind her husband Deshon, aunts, uncles and many cousins whom she loved dearly. Her love and encouragement will be sadly missed by her friends and family who loved her immeasurably. “Rest In Peace” Teri.
We Love You.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, September 1, at 2 PM in White Chapel Memorial Gardens under the direction of Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home, 5234 W. State Hwy EE (E. Division), Springfield, MO
