Obituary for William S. "Bill" Hutchinson

Bill was born on December 10, 1938 in Mountain Grove, Missouri to Everett and Gertrude (Alsup) Hutchinson. He graduated from Mountain Grove High School in the class of 1956. Bill passed away at his home in Grove, Oklahoma on July 30, 2016. Bill was an owner, operator trucker for 50 years, driving 48 states and Canada and was know by his CB name of Maverick. He made many life time friends in all his travels.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and a sister Janice.

He is survived by his wife Elanna, two daughters; Kathy Johnson, her husband Don and their children Zachary and Addison of Maui, Hawaii and Kim Marino, her husband Lou and their son Billy of Lee’s Summit, MO. Three stepsons: Shannon Wallis and his children, Tara, Makena, and Emmitt; Darin Wallis, his wife Ann and their sons Mason and Eli all of Springfield and Tommy Wallis of Dallas, TX. One brother, James Hutchinson; two sisters, Carol Scott and Connie Bell, all of Springfield and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was a wonderful, loving husband, father and friend to all. He loved to hunt with his friends. He was pretty much homebound after a stroke in 2010 and open heart surgery in 2012, but still loved to have company.

A funeral service for Bill will be held Friday, August 5, 2016 at Klingner-Cope at Midtown, 1635 N. Benton, Springfield at 10:30 a.m. with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Denlow Cemetery south of Mtn. Grove.
